What’s one room in your house that you and your family spend the most time in? Ours is the kitchen! We have a eat-in kitchen and it’s pretty much the center of our house, so we’re walking through it often. When we entertain or host family gathering’s, the kitchen is the main hang out spot. With that being said, having some fabulous lighting is a must!
I’ve partnered up with Hometalk to curate an inspiration board where you can clip, like and share all your favorite ideas for new kitchen lighting in your home! There are so many fantastic DIY options that won’t break the bank! I think you’re really going to be inspired these!!
What I love about the majority of these lights is the creativity used by repurposing old items! When it comes to kitchen lighting, what are some of your must-haves? For me, I want something that goes with the rest of my decor, but stands out and has a lot of character!
Thank you for stopping by today and please be sure to visit my Hometalk board by clicking directly on the photo, to gather and share your inspiration!
Autumn on the Porch
I love decorating my front porch to go with the seasons. Not only that, but I love pulling up to the house and seeing it in all of it’s glory! I was so eager to begin decorating for Fall this year, so I wasted no time!
I had bought a floral wall pocket from Hobby Lobby. I knew immediately that I was going to spray paint it white since my front door was black. So, I did just that.. I spray painted it a flat white, giving it a good two coats. Once it was dry, I grabbed a low grit sand paper and began to rough it up throughout the piece. This gave it some depth and would likely blend in with the natural weathering it will get being on my porch. I had also bought some decorative wheat and potpourri arrangement at Marshall’s. I combined the two arrangements and made it my own! It smells heavenly, and I’m hoping that scent will last a little while even though it’s outside. I made a simple burlap bow using some burlap ribbon I already had and hot glued a clip onto the back. I love putting clips on my bows because I can easily remove them if needed, or move them to another spot of the arrangement if I want.
I’m pretty happy with how this piece turned out! It’s full, screams Fall and looks great on my door! So what do you think of it?

Falling In Love ♥
Although Fall doesn’t officially start until the 22nd of this month, I am in complete Fall mode! It is my favorite time of the year! I am absolutely in love with all of the the rich colors, warm tones and fragrant scents, just to name a few! I’m sure you know by now, I’m crazy for banners! So today, I’m sharing this year’s version of my Fall banner!
To start, grab a book that you will never use, or snag one from Goodwill. I chose the phrase “fall in love” for this banner, so I ripped out 9 pages from the book. Before I cut the pages to size, I printed each letter onto them and moved onto the next step. I grabbed my paper cutter and simply trimmed off the sides of each and fishtailed the bottoms by eye. I use jute for the base of my banner and usually, also, eye the length according to the size of the letters. Simply fold the top of each page over and place a piece of double stick tape to the back and press into place. Hang your banner and voila! Such a timeless piece with a statement!

Fab Pins of the Week
Hello lovely and welcome! It’s such a pleasure to have you here! Since we had Monday off for Labor Day, I feel like the week went by pretty quickly! Very happy it’s the weekend though, yippee!!
At times I try to stray from it, but my love for whites and neutrals over powers all else. I say I try to stray away at times, because I will see inspiring pictures with bright colors and fun patterns and think “I’m going to do that”! But, at the end of the day, I find myself completely mesmerized by french rustic glamour and neutral tones! Here’s what I fell in love with this week… ♥

Fab Pins of the Week
Hello beautiful and Happy Friday! I’m so happy it’s the weekend! I’m looking forward to this three day weekend! Do you have any fun Labor Day traditions? We do not, so we’re just looking forward to spending the time together!
I posted last week on my Facebook page that I was caving in and decorating for Fall. I had began a few projects, and when my son came home from school he said, “Mommy, are you decorating for Fall already?” I said excitingly, “Yes!”. He said, “I’m not ready for you to decorate yet, although I love how you decorate.” What a cutie, maybe he’s right. Maybe I shouldn’t rush into it just yet. So, I’m giving him another week (at least) of no major Fall decor! That brings me to this week’s pins, none other than Fall!

Blueberry Stuffed French Toast Recipe + David Bromstad Designs + A Giveaway!!
Are you a coffee drinker? Let me tell you, it is my mode of survival! Without it, I’m no fun, ha! And with it this is how I feel…. “Given enough coffee I could rule the world”! Can you relate? I do, however, use creamer in my coffee, always have. So you can imagine I was pretty stoked when design star David Bromstad partnered with Coffee-mate and Target, making a splash with the limited edition bottles inspired my coffee and Coffee-mate. The new David Bromstad designed bottles (French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors) will be available at Target stores nationwide! Why am I excited about that you say? Well, one I LOVE David Bromstad, have you seen the designs that man comes up with? Brilliant! And two, I’m a coffee freak (not to mention I’m Target obsessed), so this was basically a win-win for me!
It’s a lot of fun when you can become inspired by a product you use to think outside the box! Not only do I love coffee creamer in my coffee (French Vanilla is my favorite!), but I like to explore recipes with it too! I recently made an absolutely delicious french toast recipe using the French Vanilla creamer. My kids and husband just raved over it, so I will certainly be making it again!
Here’s the recipe:
Coffee-mate coffee creamer, flavor desired
3 large eggs
vanilla
cinnamon
sliced bread
butter
syrup
blueberries (optional)
Start by cracking your eggs into a bowl. Mix in your coffee creamer, pouring just enough to thicken the mixture (about 2-4 tablespoons). Add a teaspoon of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. Grab a fork and mix well. Heat your frying pan to medium heat and melt a little butter, dip your slice of bread covering both sides into the egg mixture and place it onto the heated pan. Cook until slightly brown on each side. This mixture was enough to make 7 slices of french toast. Grab your blueberries, rinse and place them in a small bowl. Grab a fork and begin to mash them up, add a little bit of water to create a syrup-y mixture. Place the blueberry syrup between two pieces of french toast. You can add a small amount of syrup on top or a little powered sugar. This breakfast is full of flavor and simple to make!
Can you believe a little coffee creamer inspired all that? For more inspired fun, snap a photo of the newly designed bottles and share it on Facebook with the hashtag #CMInspiresSweepsEntry for a chance to win a year’s worth of Coffee-mate, $500 Target GiftCards, and a signed print from David Bromstad!

Hello beautiful ♥ Happy Friday!! I’m so thrilled it’s the weekend! I’m looking forward to spending time with my hubby and family! Do you have anything fun planned? Have your little one’s started back to school yet? Mine go back Tuesday. Did you get the chance to check out the free printable I made for the first day of school? Don’t miss it 😉
I’m still obsessing over my office design. I am just itching to get it started!!! I’m still not 100% back on my feet from spraining my ankle, so I’m taking it slow. I’m gathering as much inspiration as I can! I am goo-goo for gold! That is one of the must-haves in my design!
