Our Pretty Little Lola Girl

July 7, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: ad, dog, dog food, family pet, onedifference, PMedia, Purina One, Purina One Smartblend Leave a Comment

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Purina One, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #ONEDifference http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Fun fact: I am in love with our dog Lola! Lola is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and she is the fifth member of our family! We love her dearly and I treat her just like one of my children. Without a doubt, she brightens our days, makes us laugh, loves us unconditionally, protects our home, and  keeps us company. Our life just wouldn’t be the same without our little fur baby!
After a long, harsh Winter this past year I’ve noticed that Lola is struggling a bit this Spring. Since she has such short legs, even a little bit of weight gain can be really hard on her. And she was showing me just that! After I read about the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge, I knew this would be the PERFECT way to get Lola back on track to keeping up with our busy family! I wasted NO time! I headed to Target to pick up a bag of the Purina ONE Smartblend.
Why did I choose Purina One Smartblend you ask? I would be more than happy to share with you! Bright eyes, dental health, energy, digestibility, skin and coat, and taste are just a few of the proven benefits of this dry dog food. After the first week of being on this dog food, Lola visibly had more energy! She slept less, wanted to play more and even enjoyed a few walks with me in evenings! She had a bit of a struggle the first walk, and by the third walk she was less winded. I’m looking forward to Lola getting back to a healthier weight for her body!
Another benefit I’m super excited about is the dental health! One of the things that makes Lola so special, is she has a significant under bite. It doesn’t cause her any problems with eating or drinking, but it does cause her to have bad breath. She hasn’t had any problem eating this food, she absolutely loves it! So I’m looking forward to the less stinky side of her, haha!
It’s important to keep our four- legged friends healthy too! If you’ve noticed some unhealthy changes in your pooch lately, I challenge you to join the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge with us! I would be just over the moon if you share your success with us too!

Red, White & Blue Berry Trifle

July 1, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: berry trifle, desserts, patriotic recipes, recipes, red white and blue 4 Comments

Are you looking for a dessert to completely wow your guests this Fourth of July? Look no further!! I am sharing one of my family favorites, and once you taste it, it won’t be hard to see why! This berry trifle is full of flavor and savors your sweet tooth!

The recipe is as follows:
Graham cracker crust
1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham cracker
1/3 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Crush graham crackers to fine consistency, pour into a mixing bowl and combine all ingredients until evenly combined. With a fork push the graham cracker mix onto the bottom of a mason jar. Continue for the desired amount of jars and refrigerate for at least 40 minutes. I used Duncan Hines strawberry pie filling that I bought on clearance at Target and spooned it on top of the crust. Next, I added a dollop of cooled whipped cream. Add a few blueberries to garnish on top and there you have it! Absolutely delicious and perfectly patriotic! These are great because you can make them before hand and put them in the fridge to cool further until serving. They are the perfect single serving and they’re just as good the next day too!

All American Entry Way

June 30, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: 4th of July, all American, diy, fourth of july, home decor, patriotic, red white and blue, Summer decor, sunflowers 1 Comment

I said it last week, and I’ll say it again.. I adore decorating for the Forth of July! The simplicity of the flag and the meaning behind it brings a smile to my face! I didn’t go all out with fancy decor this year, I just kept it very simple and used things that remind me most of my love for Summer.
Sunflowers are among one of my favorite flowers in Summer! Their large blooms and bright color brighten any space easily! I think sunflowers make the perfect match with the American flag. For my entry this Summer, I paired a few of my favorite elements into the mix, and I’m pleased with how it turned out!

Introducing the Plie Wand by Julep!

June 25, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: Julep, nail polish, Plie Wand by Julep 2 Comments

For me, one of the easiest ways to give myself a quick pick-me-up is to paint my nails! I love expressing my style through my nails! One of my all-time favorites is just a classic red! Classy and fun! Well, if you’re like me, and you love having your nails painted too, you’re going to LOVE this new product by Julep! I’m excited to introduce to you the new Plie Wand by Julep! Can you say: easiest manicure ever!!

The Plie Wand is a magnetic wand that snaps onto an over cap that fits over any Julep nail polish. The long handle bends so it’s easy to keep your brush steady! No more looking like a toddler painted your nails, those days are OVER! Never used Julep before? Shop their wide selection of nail polish, you won’t be disappointed!

So, what are you waiting for? Change the way you paint your nails with the Plie Wand!

All opinions mentioned above are my own. I was not compensated for this post.

Patriotic Flag Banner

I love to decorate for the Fourth of July! I just love to display the red, white and blue! What a beautiful combination! I wanted to keep my mantel very neutral, but set it off with something bold. And I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out!
