I might be obsessed with updating my wreaths and flags, so what?! While at Hobby Lobby I purchased an adorable 9 foot roll of faded black chevron burlap, which just happened to be 50% off!!
Once I was home, before cutting the burlap I gathered a long length and created a bow with long ends. I fish-tailed the ends to hang loose on the wreath and attached it with a small piece floral wire.
I used the same technique as my last garden flag, you can view that here! This time I used regular burlap, and stenciled on the words “Welcome To Our Home” in black craft paint. While that was drying I created a nice full bow and, again, fishtailed the ends. I secured it to the burlap using a generous amount of hot glue from my glue gun. I also sewed the tops of the bow into place since this is a heavy material, I didn’t want it to sag forward.
I love the combination the faded black chevron along with the burlap! It dresses up the front walkway and door perfectly π I can’t wait to make a flag for Fall!!

A few weeks ago I pinned the cutest idea of making a food passport for date nights. Well, unfortunately we don’t get many of those at our house, ever, so I decided to make one family style!
I think this is an absolutely adorable idea instead of arguing where to eat, eliminating the ” I don’t cares”, “I don’t knows” and whatever else may come along the way! Just flip to a page and head to the spot listed!
I bought an adorable little notebook at Target and headed home to Google some restaurants we’ve been wanting to try! I wrote down the restaurant name, address, phone number, hours of operation, area of town and expected price ( $-$$, etc. ). We don’t eat out often, so I also included some of our favorite restaurants that the kids would already love! I created a small pouch in the back for stickers to “mark” the restaurant once we’ve eaten there.
This is such a simple project, but such a fun concept! With the age that our little Isabella is right now (terrible two’s) eating out can be a daunting experience, but I think this will create excitement and make it more enjoyable for everyone! Not to mention, trying some new places, meeting some new faces and exploring our beautiful city!
