It won’t take long for you to realize I’m in love with farmhouse decor! Hence my blog name 😉 If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know my style has leaned more towards a mix of shabby chic and farmhouse. Today I’m sharing with you simple ways to add farmhouse style to your home!

I am no designing expert, but these are tips that I use throughout my home!

Use a nice neutral color-palette. I love this farmhouse palette from Behr. The walls throughout my home are painted Swiss coffee. I love this color because it goes well with seasonal decor and my every-day decor!

 Add fresh flowers any and everywhere! Fresh flowers add instant charm to any space. I’m always browsing the local grocery for flowers on clearance or any daily deals. I’ve also grown a good bit from home through the landscaping. That saves me a little money 😉

White furniture! My instant go-to for painting old or new pieces, is white. You can’t go wrong with it. If it’s too clean for you, you can always add a dark wax. It appears fresh to the eye and styles well with many colors and designs.

Chippy furniture!! A farmhouse must-have! It has recently and quickly became one of my favorite things! You can check out my old antique table update here! Talk about adding instant charm? This is it! Not much decor is needed to make these pieces speak to a room!

It’s no secret that I love a good wreath! I have wreathes throughout my home for added decor. Adding a magnolia wreath adds instant farmhouse charm!

Painted furniture and handwritten signs! We specialize in making farmhouse handwritten signs, so adding them throughout our home is very special! I’ve been a little more brave lately with using other paint colors other than white! You can check out my Bergere antique table and antique wardrobe makeover.

As you can see in almost every picture I’ve above, there is greenery! I love adding greenery to my space. It livens it up instantly! Some of my favorites are eucalyptus, rabbit ears and dusty miller.
