I tend to update my kitchen art often.
I don’t know what it is, but I love changing it up!
With that in mind, I’ve created this cute little, retro-style kitchen printable with numerous design options.
You can easily print and frame this printable for you to enjoy in your kitchen or to give as a gift!
To save the image, simply right click and save to your computer and print it out from there. If you have problems with clarity doing it this way, please let me know and I will do my best to fix it!
Enjoy!

{ Fab Pins of the Week }

August 23, 2013 by Fotini Filed Under: bedrooms, chandelier, fab pins of the week, Pinterest, rustic glam, sunflowers, whitewashed bricks 9 Comments

Another beautiful week is nearing end and I’m excited it’s the weekend, how about you?!
I feel like I’ve began to run into a decorating rut with some of the rooms in my house.
I just like too many things 😉
My inspiration this week is rustic glam, neutral tones and a lot of beauty!

1. I love, love, love the look of these white-washed bricks! The neutral linens and headboard really make this room pop! I tend to love the more traditional design with neutral linens. I’m in the works of designing a new master bedroom!
2. I have a bunch of fresh sunflowers in my house right now, and I love looking at them! They’re such a beautiful flower! Perfect for late Summer, early Fall 🙂 I love the rustic tablescape in this picture! Gorgeous farmhouse table, crystal and silver plates make the perfect combo!
3. I’m totally intrigued by ornate lighting! One of my favorite parts about this chandelier just might be the natural tree branches intertwined, how cool is that?! You can easily dress up your room with a fabulous chandelier! I would have one in every room of my house if my husband would let me 🙂
4. Love this simple tutorial on how to turn traditional chair legs into rustic glam!! Seriously perfect, and while your there you will fall in love with the blog City Farmhouse, one of my favorites!!!

Duck Tape® Embellished School Supplies!

August 21, 2013 by Fotini Filed Under: angry birds, angry birds duck tape, Duck Tape, embellishments, school supplies, sponsored post, The Duck Brand, Walmart 9 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

With the kids going back to school, comes all new school supplies! Today I’m going to share with you how you can easily personalize your kids supplies using Duck Tape®, in a way they will love!

I don’t shop at Walmart often, but I was pleasantly surprised  their craft selection and their Duck tape® selection! My son immediately spotted angry birds Duck Tape® and smiled from ear to ear. I’m sure you won’t have any trouble picking out a favorite, there are so many to choose from!

While we were at Walmart we also grabbed some school supplies we needed, you can’t beat the prices! Once we were home we gathered all the new school supplies we had bought and started embellishing them with the angry bird Duck Tape®! We added a few pieces to his clipboard, pencil pouch and binder. He was so excited with how it turned out, and I was one happy Mama because it was super simple and affordable!

You can also use hole punches or decorative scissors to create some really unique designs or even an initial! My son informed me that it was too “girly” for him 😉

So, let’s review:

  • Duck Tape is awesome because you can easily dress up your kids school supplies!
  • You have a huge selection to choose from!
  • buy Duck Tape at Walmart
  • Get creative and have fun!

August 19, 2013 by Fotini Filed Under: chalkboard, chalkboard paint, chalkboard sign, crafts, diy, DIY craft, DIY sign, dollar store craft, easy craft, entry, entryway, shims, simple craft 21 Comments

I recently inherited a gorgeous antique table that has been a part of my family for many years! I placed it in my entry, but it was in dire need of some pretty decor! I had a simple and cheap idea to create an inviting entryway sign!

Here’s what you’re going to need:

  • 11 shims
  • hot glue gun and glue (or wood glue)
  • desired tray
  • chalkboard paint
  • chalk and/or chalk pen
  • burlap or desired ribbon

First, grab your shims, use two on the bottom as your base, laying horizontally, and begin laying others on top vertically. Use a hot glue gun or wood glue to attach them. Next I spray painted mine white, and let dry. I had a ornate looking tray I purchased from the dollar store that had just been sitting around, so I taped off the sides with painters tape, just revealing the center and sprayed it with chalkboard paint. I gave it two even coats and let dry thoroughly. To activate the chalkboard paint, grab a piece of chalk and rub over the surface a few times, and wipe off.

To create support for the back of the sign, I simply cut two shims to size, creating a V shape, and glued into place. This gives the sign even stability with little effort!

I wanted to add a little rustic pizzaz to the sign, so I cut a piece of burlap ribbon I already had to a width similar to one shim. I glued one end of burlap to the back of the tray, the other end I also glued to the back of the sign. I added a simple burlap bow, attaching it with an alligator clip so I can easily remove it and add holiday decor when it comes time!

I use a chalk pen for writing, I find it much easier! And I just added a simple little quote! What I love about this is I can change it at any time and personalize it depending on the occasion!

This project cost me well under $5, how can you beat that?!

1.  Tufted headboards, they get me just about every time! They are so charming to look at! They easily provide character and class to any bedroom design. I love the neutral, softness of this feminine bedroom, with white linens and rustic glam galore!
2. Every girl needs a little sparkle in her wardrobe! I love this sequined clutch, but I’m a total sucker for the neutral blouse and pumps! This is such a fun, girly outfit! I don’t get to dress up often, but it always feels good to put on an outfit you love and feel beautiful in, and this one would do it for me!
3. Rustic glam at it’s finest right here! This gorgeous tablescape is just jaw dropping! If you don’t know it by now, I’m obsessed with mercury glass and just adore these mix-matched candle holders! They really make the table setting to me. The fresh floral arrangements aren’t bad either 😉
4. One day, I hope I get the chance to have a claw foot tub! They are timeless and enchanting, seriously love them! This bathroom is a nice mix between rustic charm and glamour. The chandelier makes this space ultra glamorous!
