1. I adore wearing sweaters in Winter! This year I have a few really cute statement sweaters that are not only comfy and warm, but super adorable! However, I only have one sweater that has elbow patches, and it’s not this cute!! I don’t know what it is about elbow patches, but I love them β₯ Especially these ones pictured, they’re sparkly! I have found numerous tutorials on Pinterest for adding your own elbow patches, I may make this an upcoming project π
2. This gold accent wall is fabulous! The perfect addition to this simple office. It also looks quite charming with the light grey wall next to it, which is perfect so you can mix metallics! I’m really, really into mixing metallics right now! Gold is making a come back, it’s no longer a thing of the past and I love it!
3. These pillows are fabulous!! They would be perfect in a feminine office and fantastic as a gift idea! These are available via an Etsy shop and she has a lot of darling, easily customizable pieces so be sure to check them out! I really love these, I see a DIY pillow cover post coming soon π
4. I need this clutch! My husband probably wouldn’t agree with that haha, by looking in my closet it doesn’t look like I need much of anything! But this is such a gorgeous statement piece! Especially paired with a solid outfit, it makes the perfect statement! I found some similiar here, here and here!

1. Feminine- classy, I look at this picture and am just drawn to it! I’m in love with the gallery wall, it’s fantastic! The sporadic black frames give the wall depth! This is the perfect look for my office. I love the light colored couch with bold animal print pillows, and I really love the velvet green- fabric chair! It’s so much fun!
2. Those floors are the bees-knees! But, I’m a total sucker for a claw-foot tub!! This beautiful, black claw-foot tub makes the entire bathroom! At some point in my life, I really hope to own a claw-foot tub. They are just gorgeous, I can’t even image!!
3. So pretty! I love the mix of gold and rose gold accents! The simple black picture frame, along with the black and white photo create a calming combination for this cute little bathroom! I love seeing things I typically wouldn’t put together, and they turn out cute, like this one!
4. I love the hot pink used in this office space! I am just dying to get to decorating my office! I don’t “have” it yet because our basement isn’t finished, but it’s coming soon! I love browsing ideas and gathering a bunch of inspiration!

{ Making A Statement }
In case you didn’t know already, I LOVE to decorate! What I love even more is incorporating sentimental, aged pieces into my decor! We are fortunate to have quite a few pieces that are our family heirlooms! I do, however, have some “new” additions that I really just love! I say “new” because they’re new to me, but they are visibly aged with chippy goodness!
I think the beauty of furniture and art comes out with age. The significance becomes more defined and cherished. I love looking at a piece knowing there is a history behind it! With that being said, I’m excited to share one of my favorite pieces with you today! It’s a chair that was given to me by a dear friend! I’m not quite sure of it’s exact history but just by the looks of it, I know that it’s old!
My beautiful, chippy chair is an accent to my entryway and creates the perfect charm for the rest of my decor! I’ve contemplated painting the piece but I just love the layered, original ware of it, so I’ve decided to keep it as is!
If you aren’t quite sure of the history of one of your favorite(s) chairs, you can use this fantastic Home Decor Resource from One Kings Lane! Here is a little bit of info I found out about mine! I searched under 1900-Present with so many articles relating to that era revealed! It’s a super fun- informative way to research new furniture you may be seeking or furniture you already own!
So, do tell, do you have a favorite chair in your home?

Autumn on the Porch
If you’ve been following along with my blog for awhile, you have probably seen a couple of these type of signs before! I just love making them because they’re so simple, affordable and cute! You will use at total of 12 shims for this project. Begin by laying two horizontally and start gluing the shims one by one until completed. I broke of the ends of a few of mine just to add some character! I painted the shims a beautiful, warm color: Valspar Coral Gable Biltmore Mediterranean Carmel. I gave it a good two coats and let dry completely.
