Hey there & welcome!! As happy as I am that it’s Friday, it’s going to be a very busy weekend here… Relaxing, it’s for the birds (ugh!) We’re having a garage sale Saturday and Sunday, hoping to get rid of everything! Wish me luck 😉

I adore creating and browsing gorgeous tablescapes, and today I’m going to share {4} stunning ones with you, so let’s get to it!

1. This particular centerpiece was created for an amazing Fall wedding. You can’t miss this wedding, it’s to die for!! This centerpiece is gorgeously arranged with fresh blooms partial to Fall! It includes a variety of roses, white hydrangea, pumpkin chrysanthemums, wood flowers and fresh liquid Amber leaves. The combination is breathtaking! I love the rustic feel the wood planter box provides! And of course the adorable mini white pumpkins â™¥
2. Lovely neutral tablescape donned with white pumpkins, squash, white flowers with pops of orange! Create a warm and inviting centerpiece by using the same, or similar, tones and choose one or two pops of color. I love adding details with rust orange, mustard yellow or burgundy.
3. I love this idea! Using different sizes of white pumpkins or gourds as the centerpiece! They each provide a unique appearance! I’m just crazy about white pumpkins!! I’m going to attempt to plant the seeds and grow my own next Summer! The possibilities are endless with them! Again, this tablescape is paired with neutral linens and I love the feel the candlelight provides! This would be perfect for a cozy family gathering!
4. Yvonne from Stone Gable blog continuously amazes me with her creativity! I love her work! This is a gorgeous tablescape with the copper hues and again, white pumpkins!

Autumn on the Porch

September 16, 2013 by Fotini Filed Under: Autumn, decor, diy, DIY craft, fall, Fall front porch, front porch 19 Comments

I just love Fall and all the colors that come with it! The burnt oranges, rustic burgundys’, olive greens and metallics adorn my home the entire Fall season! It’s so much fun to create your own Fall decor to enjoy! Today I’m going to share with you how I created a simple Autumn sign!

If you’ve been following along with my blog for awhile, you have probably seen a couple of these type of signs before! I just love making them because they’re so simple, affordable and cute! You will use at total of 12 shims for this project. Begin by laying two horizontally and start gluing the shims one by one until completed. I broke of the ends of a few of mine just to add some character! I painted the shims a beautiful, warm color: Valspar Coral Gable Biltmore Mediterranean Carmel. I gave it a good two coats and let dry completely.

I sketched out by hand my pumpkin and font design. I began to fill in the pumpkin using clear craft glue and sprinkling with gold glitter evenly. While that was drying I filled in my stem with brown craft paint and traced the penciled wording with black craft paint, let dry.
The first time I held up my sign  to view, some of the loose glitter fell onto the, still wet, lettering creating an awesome glittery effect! I couldn’t be more happy with that oopsie 🙂
To complete this project, cut a shim in half and glue together at (about) a 45 degree angle. This creates a sturdy backing! And voila, an adorable custom sign just like that!
