You won’t be surprised to know that I’m still soaking up every inch of Fall inspiration that I can! This week I’m crushing on the traditional warm tones of Fall!

I’m so happy it’s the weekend! It’s been a long week around here and I’m exhausted! Exhausted seems to be a repetitive feeling these days, but I’m thankful for the chaos! The kitchen is the heart of the home, but what comes next? How about a good dining room? I absolutely LOVE my formal dining room! It’s the perfect place to host dinner parties with friends and family, plus I absolutely love decorating it! I’ve put together a board of must-have items when it comes to creating the perfect dream dining room!
It won’t come to any surprise to you, that I’ve stuck with a neutral color palette. To me, neutrals are the easiest to work with and change out decor for the Holidays or just because.

I love the character the antiqued pieces bring to this room! This is a very simple design to recreate! Now, I’m going to show you what adding a few elements of decor can do to completely turn this space around! As I mentioned the other day, I’m in Fall mode, so I’ll be creating a dining room decorated for Fall!

My suggestion would be to paint the walls Swiss coffee and trim ultra pure white. Opt for a farmhouse-style chandelier. Or, something a little more fancy and add crystals! I love adding navy to this dining room! The long, flowing navy curtains and matching navy throw pillows, tie the space together. Add a chunky knit throw to the one of the head chairs for instant coziness.
Fill your china cabinet/hutch with a beautiful collection of vintage ironstone. Hang an olive leaf or eucalyptus wreath in front of your hutch. Don the table with a similar swag of eucalyptus garland and create a stunning centerpiece by adding some cinderella pumpkins and tiered candles! Fill in any blank spaces with some faux or live stemmed greenery!
Wow! What a difference just adding some simple decor makes! Now, if only I could make this room come to life 😉 Keeping this for future reference! Pin here so you can save it too!

Hi there friends and happy Friday! This weekend we will be channeling our early twenties selves and living without a care in the world, enjoying ourselves at Country Jam. Country Jam is a local massive country concert and we’re headed off with our camper for the next couple days to immerse ourselves in everything country music! It won’t take long for you to realize I’m in love with farmhouse decor! Hence my blog name 😉 If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know my style has leaned more towards a mix of shabby chic and farmhouse. Today I’m sharing with you simple ways to add farmhouse style to your home!
I am no designing expert, but these are tips that I use throughout my home!
Use a nice neutral color-palette. I love this farmhouse palette from Behr. The walls throughout my home are painted Swiss coffee. I love this color because it goes well with seasonal decor and my every-day decor!
Add fresh flowers any and everywhere! Fresh flowers add instant charm to any space. I’m always browsing the local grocery for flowers on clearance or any daily deals. I’ve also grown a good bit from home through the landscaping. That saves me a little money 😉
White furniture! My instant go-to for painting old or new pieces, is white. You can’t go wrong with it. If it’s too clean for you, you can always add a dark wax. It appears fresh to the eye and styles well with many colors and designs.
Chippy furniture!! A farmhouse must-have! It has recently and quickly became one of my favorite things! You can check out my old antique table update here! Talk about adding instant charm? This is it! Not much decor is needed to make these pieces speak to a room!
It’s no secret that I love a good wreath! I have wreathes throughout my home for added decor. Adding a magnolia wreath adds instant farmhouse charm!
Painted furniture and handwritten signs! We specialize in making farmhouse handwritten signs, so adding them throughout our home is very special! I’ve been a little more brave lately with using other paint colors other than white! You can check out my Bergere antique table and antique wardrobe makeover.
As you can see in almost every picture I’ve above, there is greenery! I love adding greenery to my space. It livens it up instantly! Some of my favorites are eucalyptus, rabbit ears and dusty miller.
