Oh, Fall! You encompass some of my very favorite things! The textures of Fall are just so warm and wonderful. I absolutely love creating Fall tablescapes. It gives me the chance to incorporate those favorite little things of mine into something beautiful! My favorite place to do that? My formal dining room, of course! It’s the perfect spot that I can still enjoy it every day passing by, but doesn’t get disturbed. It’s Friday!! Woot-woot, break out into the happy dance! We don’t have our little ones this weekend, so we’re finishing up some projects that we started months ago (eek!). Better late than never though, right?! A couple of those projects include our kitchen! Do you remember when we shared updates of our kitchen remodel? Catch those posts here and here! I’m actually just realizing I never shared the full kitchen since the update! Wow! With that said, once we finish up the few things on our to-do list this weekend, you can expect a FULL kitchen reveal! Yessss!

A Lovely Formal
One of my absolute favorite rooms to decorate in my house is my formal dining room! It’s a room that you can see at all times from either the kitchen or living room and I love to somewhat over do the decor! Hey there! As you’ve heard me mention, a time or two recently, I have had a good bit of fun decorating for Halloween! This is the first year ever that I have done this much for Halloween, and it’s been entertaining! I decided to give our prim-and-proper formal dining room a little spooky makeover!
Fall Centerpiece
Hey there friend 🙂 How are you today? I’m excited you’re here! I hope each of you have a wonderful week this week! I have been on cloud 9 decorating for Fall so far! I was absolutely tickled to find a local farm market had pumpkins when we went last week (I’ve been twice now 😉 ). But shh, don’t tell my husband!
I love how easy it is to create a beautiful Fall centerpiece by incorporating natural elements. The markets are full of cabbages, pumpkins, pears, squash and more! Use those unexpected items to create something breathtaking! Choose a color or theme you want for the season and keep it consistent throughout your design. For instance, I love the blue/green, white pumpkins and acorn squash. I love how they all look together and all produce a similar look. I also snagged a head of cabbage for just over a $1, which looks great with this mixture as well!
Folks, I really didn’t do anything spectacular here.. I simply arranged these beautiful pieces and added a few mercury glass votives. Now, tell me that isn’t easy enough? I will be adding more and staging the table as well, but as for now I’m enjoying this simple beauty <3

Thanksgiving Tablescape
I am super excited for Thanksgiving this year! We have been so busy with work, extracurricular activities, traveling, school, home projects and more, that it seems we’ve not got to spend much time with family. I can’t wait to spend time with everyone on Thanksgiving! We will be hosting dinner at our house, so it’s been fun playing around with my tablescape for this year! I’ve teamed up with some lovely ladies who are also sharing more tablescape ideas and yummy recipes to try this Thanksgiving, check them out below!
This Fall I’ve opted for a more natural, simple setting. I got my pumpkins, squash and gourds early in the season, so at this point they are beginning to turn colors and age, but that just brings out the beauty in this tablescape. Adding greenery to the mix also makes the setting more inviting. I added some dried branches to a porcelain pitcher to add some height to the table. More than likely the day before Thanksgiving I will buy some fresh greenery and flowers. You can never go wrong with fresh flowers!
My favorite part about this tablescape is the paper leaves I cut out using my silhouette. Each leaf has a bible verse written on it that relates to being thankful. My plan is to have family read them before we pray. I think this is a special way to express just how thankful and blessed we all are! Adding meaningful touches to your tablescape will always wow your guests! Also, in the background, on my buffet, you will see ‘our thankful tree‘ I shared last year!
