I may be the worlds slowest decorator… We have lived in our home for three years now and we are just getting around to finishing our master bedroom. Some of you may find it ridiculous, and just hearing it makes me slightly embarrassed! But, in the same breath, my styles change and I find myself really falling in love with what we’re currently doing so I think the wait will be worth it!
Fab Pins of the Week!
So good to see you, beautiful! You don’t know just how happy I am to have you here today! Are you happy it’s Friday? I sure am! Do you have any big plans for the weekend? We have a baseball game tomorrow morning and then getting into whatever the rest of the weekend! Sometimes I really loves those kind of days!
I’ve probably never mentioned it before on here, but I have to my close friends and family… My dream is to have a little shop. My body just aches for one, and the more I work on projects and rehab furniture, the more I want one! It’s something I’ve been praying about and I’m leaving it up to God! If it’s meant to be, it will work out! With that said, here’s what has grabbed my attention this week, with a little rustic farmhouse shop in mind 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Faux Planked Wall
Hi! Thanks for stopping by today! Today I’m excited to share with you a rather simple way to add character to a small bathroom! We created a faux planked wall and I love what it adds to our small half bath that gets used the most in our house.
Botanical Mantel Design
Recently, my latest craze has been natural, botanical decor! It’s a beautiful way to add instant charm without over doing it! I love the green hues and it gives me the opportunity to use and mix my favorite pieces for the fresh flowers. I’m loving how it looks and I hope you will too!
DIY Flower Pots
Hi, so wonderful to have you! The weather around here has been beautiful, and I’m loving every minute of it! I’ve been planting tons of flowers! Each year I opt for a color pattern and specific flower, and this year I let the kids decide. They chose shades of purple pansies. I am really loving the color combination together! I will share some photos of our front landscaping another time. Until then, I’m sharing a fun little way to update some old flower pots you may have lying around!
Okay, so could this before pic be any more horrid, gracious! A few years back I bought these light yellow plastic pots at Target. They’ve done their job rightfully so by housing some beautiful blooms, but I just wasn’t feelin’ the color any more. I knew it was nothing a little spray paint couldn’t fix! But, not just any spray paint… Chalkboard spray paint! And yes, I know what you’re thinking… “she’s still into that chalkboard craze?” and the answer is YES, yes I am! The possibilities are endless and I love letting my imagination run wild.
I cleaned up the pots and began spraying an even coat of chalkboard spray paint on each pot. It’s important to let each coat of paint dry completely before applying the next. Once the first coat was dry, I applied a heavy second coat, and let dry. To activate the chalkboard effect, grab a piece of chalk and begin rubbing it over the entire piece. This is an important step not to skip! Wipe off using a lightly damp paper towel and you’re all set to go! I like the look of chalk roughed up, or rubbed on there, so that’s the look I went with!
I wrote “watch me grow” on one of the pots, pretty fitting, don’t you think? 😉 And please excuse our horrible looking deck. We still have yet to do anything with that mess! But, look at that.. Little Lola girl decided to pose with the new flower pots! She’s a fan of them, and I am too! I can’t wait to see and enjoy the beauty of them, and the flowers!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Fab Pins of the Week!
Hey you! Welcome to my little corner.. I hope you will stick around for awhile! I’m so glad the weekend is here! It has been raining all week here in Ohio, I’m not complaining, really I’m not.. But the weekend is supposed to be a gorgeous one and I can’t wait!
I am just aching to get outside and work in my garden, and I think that’s exactly what I will do tomorrow! Our garden wasn’t very big last year, I would say maybe 7 feet by 4 feet, or so. I would like to nearly double that this year! My strawberries are growing “like weeds” and I can’t wait until they begin producing!! So anyways, I could go on for hours about gardening, my flowers and my visions with you, but I will do you a favor and cut it short 😉 This week I have been inspired by gardening and I hope you will leave here inspired too!

Free Printable Part II
Hello there and welcome! It’s Monday and that means we are just shy of a week away from Easter! I cannot wait!! I’m crossing my fingers that the weather will hold up and at least allow us to enjoy a little time outside and have an egg hunt for the kids!
Last week you probably remember me sharing a free Easter printable with you, and today I’m doing the same thing!! Lucky you 😉 This year I have been inspired by florals. They are feminine, fun and the perfect classic touch.
