It is officially Spring and I am so excited about it! Spring to me signifies fresh, new possibilities and opportunities! Not only that, but I get in the mood to Spring clean. This is a good time to deep clean and focus on areas around my house that I may not clean as thoroughly throughout the year. Today I’m going to share with you some more of my Spring cleaning tips and some excellent options for you to get things clean and organized around the house!
Getting ready for Spring!
By the time March rolls around, I am eager to get into the Spring cleaning mode! Instead of jumping in head first and completely overwhelming myself, I do my cleaning slowly and room-by-room. It’s much easier this way, believe me! Since it’s mid-March and the days are still chilly here in Ohio, I’ve decided to get started on my Spring cleaning! Today I’m going to share with you some of my fail-proof cleaning tips and favorite products to use throughout the kitchen and bathroom!
I’ve always been one to incorporate scents matching the current season throughout my home. With Spring soon approaching, I love adding floral scents like Mrs. Meyer’s Peony scent. Mm, it smells amazing and so fresh! The Peony scent is what I currently have in my kitchen and downstairs half bath. If you’re interested in the exact products I’m using, grab this free seasonal set of Mrs. Meyer’s Spring soaps + Grove Collaborative glass spray bottle + walnut scrubber sponges from Grove Collaborative!
I love ordering my products from Grove Collaborative every month! Within days, they’re on my doorstep. What I love even more than that, is that the products are non-toxic and all-natural! The above offer is a phenomenal opportunity for new customers! If you’re already a Grove Collaborative customer we’ve got a little something special for you too! Click here.
Now here’s how I tackle my Spring cleaning room-by-room. Prep for cleaning by gathering your cleaning supplies together in a caddy or bucket. That way it’s all right there for you!
Kitchen:
- Clean things like the coffee pot that may not get cleaned regularly. Fill the water chamber with a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar and run a brewing cycle. Brew at least 3 pots of clean water to ensure vinegar is rinsed out. Clean the carafe with Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap.
- Clean any food splashes or spills on cabinets and countertops by filling a microwavable safe bowl with sliced lemon and water, bring to a boil (about 3 minutes), allow steam to release for a couple minutes. Add it to your Grove Collaborative glass spray bottle and wipe it clean using a clean towel.
- Toss out any old sponges you have lying around. Replace them with Grove Collaborative walnut scrubber sponges. Replace sponges monthly.
Bathroom:
- Invite Spring into your bathroom by adding Mrs. Meyer’s Peony or Lilac hand soap. Add a clean, new towel to freshen up the space without effort!
- Using the above mixture of hot water and fresh lemon, clean any unwanted surface stains on the walls or vanity.
- Clean around the toilet using Method Antibac bathroom cleaner. Next, scrub the toilet using Method toilet cleaner. It has a delightful spearmint scent!
Don’t miss your chance to get this great offer from Grove Collaborative, offer ends Sunday March 19th 6 pm PST. Grab your free set now!

Freshen up for Spring!
This post was sponsored by Wayfair.
Hey friends! It’s a natural feeling for me to want to “spring clean” when Spring finally rolls around!! Many of you probably feel the same way, right? The house needs a good freshening up, organizing and deep clean after a long Winter! Today I’m sharing a super simple update that will freshen the bathroom up for Spring (or anytime for that matter!).
Spring Fever — inspiration board
Spring is finally here!! Spring is a time where new is created, flowers blooms, grass turns green again and the days turn warmer! I can’t help but have Spring on my mind, so I wanted to create a little Spring fever inspiration board to get you all inspired too!
Summer-time fruit salsa
Well hello there! Boy, do I have a treat for you today!! If you’re anything like us you’re busy, busy in the Summer going to cookouts and looking for something yummy you can make! Today I’m sharing a very simple, light and delicious summer-time fruit salsa with homemade cinnamon sugar chips! Oh-my-yum!
I first made this recipe a few years ago for the first time, but not since. We were having a Memorial Day cookout with family and friends, so I decided to make it again! It’s a great alternative to fattening desserts, plus it’s light and fresh!
You’re going to need:
2 apples, peeled and diced
2 kiwis, peeled and diced
2 nectarines, diced
8 strawberries, diced
handful of blueberries, cut into fourths
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons fruit preserves (I used natural strawberry)
12 10″ flour tortillas
4 tablespoons melted better
cinnamon sugar mixture
It’s really quite simple, begin preparing your fruits and putting them into a glass bowl. Dice everything pretty small since you’re going for a salsa consistency! Next mix in your white and brown sugar and preserves. Let chill for at least 30 minutes before serving (I made mine the day before, so it sit over night).
For your homemade tortilla chips, grab a tortilla and brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, flip over and repeat on the other side. Using a pizza cutter, slice the tortillas to your desired chip size. Do this for the remaining tortillas. Cook for 8 minutes, until lightly brown and slightly crispy. Let cool completely before serving.
Another thing I love about this recipe is it’s super fun and easy for the kids to help make! My little one had a lot of fun helping Mommy in the kitchen, and she did a great job brushing on the butter and sprinkling the cinnamon sugar! Not to mention, she loved telling everyone that she made it all by herself 😉
Don’t be surprised if you are asked numerous times for the recipe 😉 We will certainly be making this one again! I hope you enjoy!

Garden Themed Birthday Party
Hello there! I am so stinkin’ excited to share my daughter’s garden themed birthday party with you today! We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather! It was quite windy though, that made picture taking a little difficult, but I think I was able to capture the party anyway!
It’s no secret, you’ve heard me say many time before just how much I LOVE planning parties! Isabella was turning 4 this year, so I asked her if she knew a theme she wanted for her party.. Surprisingly she said a garden party and I was just elated! I knew right away I wanted lots of fresh flowers, berries and incorporating it all together.
I used a beautiful combination of white and pink snapdragons from Trader Joes, and the pink tulips and white hydrangeas were from my local grocery. I probably spend the most $$ on flowers, but I’m okay with that 😉 I snagged the adorable berry baskets with a coupon from Michaels! I saved the glass bottles from cream soda that previously drank (I love using these for fresh flowers!). You might notice the adorable burlap banner from Target for a cool $3! And yes, I did make the cake.. I was opting for the “naked cake” look. I am a lot of things, however, I am NOT a baker! It did taste good though 😉
I had a table setup for planting your own flower, and this also acted as the “thank you” gift for them to take home! The kids had fun with this, and it was super cute to watch them get their hands dirty! Stay tuned for the garden printable used, I will be sharing it this Wednesday on Just Us Four blog!!
Thanks for sticking around and experiencing her party with us!
