Fab Pins of the Week

August 29, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: fab pins of the week, fall, fall decor, Fall fashion, Fall recipe, Pinterest 2 Comments

Hello beautiful and Happy Friday! I’m so happy it’s the weekend! I’m looking forward to this three day weekend! Do you have any fun Labor Day traditions? We do not, so we’re just looking forward to spending the time together!
I posted last week on my Facebook page that I was caving in and decorating for Fall. I had began a few projects, and when my son came home from school he said, “Mommy, are you decorating for Fall already?” I said excitingly, “Yes!”. He said, “I’m not ready for you to decorate yet, although I love how you decorate.” What a cutie, maybe he’s right. Maybe I shouldn’t rush into it just yet. So, I’m giving him another week (at least) of no major Fall decor! That brings me to this week’s pins, none other than Fall!

I love decorating for Fall! I adore the rich tones and natural elements. I use real leaves, pine cones, branches and pumpkins (of course!) as often as I can! We’ve already been to a few different pumpkin patches already this season and intend on visiting a few more 😉
Follow along with me as I incorporate a little bit of Fall into my {home}.

I just can’t get enough of pumpkins this year! The kids are loving them too so it feeds into my obsession! I’ve also added a few mercury glass pumpkins to my collection that I’m just swooning over ♥  ♥
Thank you so much for sticking around and touring my home with me!

Hello beautiful and happy Friday!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out a few of my favorite pins from this week!
I was drawn to the natural, rustic tones of each of these pins!
So without further ado, let’s get to it…

1. This centerpiece is absolutely stunning! It’s the perfect Fall arrangement, including hydrangeas and white pumpkins! The colors are breathtaking and delicate for this time of year! Yvonne from StoneGable is sharing her stunning Fall Home Tour, you won’t want to miss it!!
2. White, white, white! The French Country style of this bedroom just screams perfection! I adore everything about this bedroom! I could certainly see myself cuddled up here in the evenings with a nice cup of hot cocoa, catching up on my magazines or reading a book!
3. More French Country glam! I love the mix of rod iron, mercury glass, candles and fresh flowers! Such a simple setup, yet so gorgeous!! You don’t have to invest in costly centerpieces for parties or get-together’s, just grab a variety of small candle holders and illuminate with a tea light, add fresh flowers to a ornate vase and add a pretty tray if you have it! Sometimes it’s the simple things that can make a big impact 🙂
4. Ahh, I just adore white pumpkins! So many gorgeous tones this year, these appear to have a hint of blue in them! We have visited a few pumpkin patches, and intend on a few more this season! I love checking out each places variety of pumpkins! Have you been to the pumpkin patch yet?

Hey, hey it’s Friday! How excited are you? I’m stoked!
It was nice to have an extra day with Labor Day this week 🙂
I’m in full swing of everything Fall! Are you too?
More than likely in the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my favorite Fall pins!
Follow along with me as I share my favorite from this week!

1. Creating an inviting entry is something I try to focus on everytime I decorate! I love this over-decorated Fall front porch! Typically, I wouldn’t put this much “stuff” on my porch at once, but I think it really works together nicely! We always seem to buy an abundance of pumpkins and I always pick up one too many mums (wink!)
2. I love seeing all the creative ways to decorate pumpkins rather than the traditional carving. I’ve never been good at carving, so I would normally just leave them plain. I love the use of vintage keys spelling out the word F-A-L-L here! Very creative and rustic, I love it â™¥  ♥
3. Painted pumpkins, you’ve stole my heart â™¥ I painted pumpkins for the first time last year and loved how they turned out! Anytime we had guests over, they raved over them! They were appealing and out of the norm. I went with bright colors last year, but I’m loving these metallic tones! I can’t wait to get working on this years pumpkins to share with you all!
4. Isn’t this magical? A complete picturesque picnic setting! How fun would it be to plan a spontaneous lunch date with the kids and pitch a spot in the woods or a romantic dinner with your hubby?! I love the thoughts of this! It would also make the perfect scene for a engagement or family photo shoot, sigh!

All of this weeks pins were sourced from my Pinterest page with unknown original sources.

Happy Friday â™¥  ♥
Summer is slowly coming to an end, and Fall is sneaking up!
I have to admit, I’m pretty excited about that! Fall is my favorite time of the year!
With that said, I’ve been taken over by the Fall itch and sharing some of my inspiration this week!
When do you start thinking about Fall decorating? Do you have the Fall itch too? (wink!)

1. I adore the rustic glamour of this room! It feels very comfy and inviting! The mirrored headboards bring the bed alive, but the addition of the burlap pillow shams is what drew me in! I love white linens on a bed… The burlap gives it that warm, comforting touch!
2. I’m really loving this simple DIY project! I’m pretty sure it’s something just about anyone could do! This would be the perfect touch to add to my Fall mantel or even hanging in my formal dining room! Head over to Love of Family & Home for the full tutorial!
3. Looks like the perfect Fall table setting to me! For Thanksgiving, perhaps?! You could easily create this personalized silverware holder by either sewing the sides into place or even using a dab of fabric glue! I love the way burlap and lace look together!
4. Love, love, love this chandelier!! Head over and see how Amanda from Burlap & Denim creates this beauty! I love creating custom lighting because it’s something everyone notices and you can enjoy it daily!! I have an exciting project coming up I can’t wait to share 🙂
