Simple Office Storage

February 16, 2015 by Fotini Filed Under: design, diy, home office, office storage, simple storage solution, storage box 13 Comments

What I love about decorating my office, is I literally had a blank space that I got to decorate! But, in the same breath, that means I have to find items that provides adequate storage and has an affordable price tag! I’m still not done decorating and rearranging my office, so until then I’m just sharing little bits and pieces with you!

While at Jo Ann Fabrics, I picked up this cute light pink photo box for $3. I’m not sure if it’s just the times, or what, but I’m loving gold accents. I knew that just by simply painting the chrome label gold that would give this little box an entire new look! So, that’s just what I did! Using Decoart elegant finish in glorious gold, I carefully painted the chrome label, allowing it to completely dry between coats. I did a total of 3 coats. And it was done! Just like that, I have a chic little box for all my odds and end pieces that usually end up sitting on my desk! What I love about these photo boxes is they look adorable stacked on top of each other or simply by them selves. They’re great for photos (obvi), craft paints, writing utensils, stickers, thank you and note cards, chargers (computer, camera, iPhone, etc.) and so much more! So what do you think? A pretty, simple storage solution, right?

Classic Touches

February 9, 2015 by Fotini Filed Under: decor, design, free printable, fresh flowers, home, mantle, printable, Valentine's mantle, Valentine's printable, Valentines day

One of my favorite ways to add character to any room is fresh flowers! You can seriously never go wrong! My style is to decorate mostly with neutrals so adding pops of color naturally just brings my space alive!

I have a love for all flowers! They’re each so beautiful in their own way. My favorite to use around this time of the year are tulips! Tulips are dainty and delicate, but so beautiful! I love photographing and admiring them when I first put them into water because they’re drooped over somewhat lifeless, but it’s really an alluring trait about them!

You don’t have to have a special touch to create a classic arrangement. I honestly just love going to the supermarket and gathering a bunch of flowers of similar color. Some classic flowers go better together than others, but mixing it up makes it fun and fresh! Pictured, I mixed tulips, blush roses and babies breath. Not your typical combination, but I’m loving it!

And if you’re looking for a sweet printable to add to your decor for Valentine’s Day, you’re in luck! I’m sharing this free “bee mine” printable! See instructions below to download! It’s so simple, but so lovely!

Fab Pins of the Week!

January 30, 2015 by Fotini Filed Under: chic, design, fab pins of the week, glamorous, home decor, Pinterest, white design 4 Comments

Hello gorgeous and happy Friday!! I’m thrilled to have you here! I’m excited it’s the weekend, and I hope to cross some projects going on around the house off! Do you have anything fun planned? I’m still taking it slow on finishing my home office. I still have some unwanted furniture up there that I’m trying to sell, so it’s interfering with me fully decorating and laying everything out. So until then, I’m enjoying my space and finally having a desk to sit at and places for pretty much all of my things!

Are you ready to see what’s inspired me this week? Let’s get to it…

French Chic Mantle Design ♥

January 19, 2015 by Fotini Filed Under: design, feminine decor, home, home decor, pink, Valentine's decor, Valentine's mantle

Come Valentine’s Day I’m usually ready to decorate with pops red, but this year I wanted to opt for a more feminine, pink design! I’ve been having fun decorating with pink lately, it makes me feel extra girly! And my husband doesn’t mind it, in moderation!
While at my local grocery, I spotted these dainty pink carnations on clearance! I snagged two bunches for $1.99 each! I added them to my favorite ceramic pitcher; instant charm! I enjoy carnations just as much as a super expensive bloom. Although the head is smaller in size, they have many, beautiful layers that make them easy to love! I snipped the smaller ones and put them into a mercury glass votive. This mantle is simple, but beautiful. Sometimes I try to enjoy the simple things a little more!
Thank you for stopping by today, it was a real pleasure to have you!

1. This centerpiece is absolutely stunning! It’s the perfect Fall arrangement, including hydrangeas and white pumpkins! The colors are breathtaking and delicate for this time of year! Yvonne from StoneGable is sharing her stunning Fall Home Tour, you won’t want to miss it!!
2. White, white, white! The French Country style of this bedroom just screams perfection! I adore everything about this bedroom! I could certainly see myself cuddled up here in the evenings with a nice cup of hot cocoa, catching up on my magazines or reading a book!
3. More French Country glam! I love the mix of rod iron, mercury glass, candles and fresh flowers! Such a simple setup, yet so gorgeous!! You don’t have to invest in costly centerpieces for parties or get-together’s, just grab a variety of small candle holders and illuminate with a tea light, add fresh flowers to a ornate vase and add a pretty tray if you have it! Sometimes it’s the simple things that can make a big impact 🙂
4. Ahh, I just adore white pumpkins! So many gorgeous tones this year, these appear to have a hint of blue in them! We have visited a few pumpkin patches, and intend on a few more this season! I love checking out each places variety of pumpkins! Have you been to the pumpkin patch yet?

It’s a GIRL!!

December 20, 2010 by Fotini Filed Under: baby, bedroom, design, doctor, gorgeous, husband, little girl 3 Comments

So this week we got the very exciting news that we will be having a little GIRL! My best friend, Amanda went with me to the doctors and I think we were both shocked when the ultrasound technician told us 🙂

I’ve been so excited about this pregnancy and was really hoping it would be a girl, but I didn’t want to be disappointed if it was a boy, so I kept the chances 50/50. My husband and my four year old son were deteremined it was a boy, so they were both shocked to get the news!

I have been busy beginning the preparation of designing her bedroom! I can’t wait to start putting everything together! Of course with a girl comes a lot of pink, but I’m ok with that! I have found some great pieces that I really like and will look great together. I will start adding pics and websites of the great deals I find in the future 🙂

Since just having the wedding, we will be doing the babies room on a budget! But I am optimistic it will turn out gorgeous!
