February 14, 2014 by Fotini Filed Under: black and gold, decor, diy, fab pins of the week, glitter, home decor, Pinterest, sparkle 3 Comments

Happy Friday and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day full of smiles, laughs and best of all LOVE
Here’s a few things I’m loving right now…

1. I’ve really been intrigued by the black, white and gold color combo lately! And it’s no wonder why this adorable decor caught my eye, it’s so bold! It’s a super sweet addition to a classy office or teenage girls room!
2. Invite your guests to your next get together in style! These particular invitations are for a bridal shower, but can be used for any occasion! I think they’re adorable, but then again, I have a slight obsession with glitter so I might just be biased 😉
3. What a cute way to add some bling to your decor! Whether it be in your office or even adding a little decor to your closet. This little gem comes from an adorable Etsy shop where you an purchase it, and/or others, to add to your space!
4. I am really in love with this color scheme for a party or bridal shower! The sparkle adds the perfect touch of class. The pops of color with the fresh flowers make this look complete!

Tomorrow is the last day of 2013! Where has time gone, my goodness!
How will you be celebrating the new year? If you’re still in the search for some party inspiration, be sure to check out my Fab Pins of the Week from Friday! You will swoon over the gorgeous ideas!
My theme for ringing in this New Year’s is gold and all that sparkles! Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you a printable for you to display as part of your decor!
To print, simply right click on the image, click “save image as”, save the image to your desktop computer and print it that way. I have had some viewers have a problem with clarity issues in the past doing it this way, but this is the way that I do it and I have never had any issues!
I hope that you enjoy! And cheers to a beautiful, blessed New Year!

Rejoice Banner

December 12, 2012 by Fotini Filed Under: book pages, Christmas, Christmas Banner, Christmas Craft, crafts, diy, DIY crafts, glitter, home decor, Martha Stewart 25 Comments

So, I’ve made, yet, another project using book pages. You can view my Fall banner here and Wreath here. I just adore the way they look, and they’re so pretty to look at! This, of course, is my Christmas banner!

Here’s what you’re going to need:

  • unused book
  • twine, or any other material for hanging
  • marker
  • stencil
  • craft glue, paintbrush
  • glitter, and a pan of some sort (I’ll tell you why later!)
  • double sided tape
  • pine cones for added decor
Start out by ripping out your pages and cutting to desired size. Again, I fish-tailed the bottom of my pages. I wanted to use the word “REJOICE”, so I had 7 pages. I traced my letters using red permanent marker and my stencils. Once I was finished tracing, I used a thin paint brush to brush craft glue onto my stenciled letters. Grab a cake pan (or similar) to use to catch all of your loose glitter. This makes for a much smoother cleanup! I used a very fine Martha Stewart glitter in garnet. Apply a generous amount to each letter and let sit. After a few minutes of drying, shake off any excess glitter and set aside. Do this for each remaining letter. When I was completely done with all my letters, I used a heavy hold hairspray to keep the glitter in place. Now it’s time to add your pages to your twine! Fold over the top of your page about 1 inch and tape into place. I embellished mine with one pine cone on each end by simply hot gluing onto the twine. Let everything dry completely and hang!
This banner is truly eye-catching! The glitter shines beautifully throughout the day and especially in the background of the Christmas Tree lights at night! Hope you enjoy 🙂

1. How stunning is this rustic Christmas tree? It dons custom tag ornaments with old family pictures and/or Bible verses, etc. I LOVE this idea, and have my own version I will be sharing with you next week!!
2. I adore this glitter reindeer silhouette from Crazy Wonderful! Be sure to head over and take a look at her entire entry way, it’s stunning!!
3. These “snow” covered white pine cones and with pops of red really caught my eye! This would look stunning hanging on my front door!
4. Love the simple-ness, yet sophistication of this living room! Perfect!
