Happy Friday friends 🙌🏼 This weekend we are celebrating my Mr.’s eldest daughter’s birthday! That will include a little party and the local bowling alley. We don’t go bowling often, but when we do I always lose. Anyone else with me? I think my kids get a higher score than me. Sad, I know!

Friends, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! With the holiday’s still lingering in the rear-view, our wallets may still be feeling the after effects. Who said you have to spend a fortune making Valentines romantic and special? I’m actually a big fan of staying home on Valentine’s and spending some quality time with my honey! So, today I’m sharing my idea of a simple date night in + my new favorite item!
As some of you may have read earlier this month, I’ve been making a lifestyle change to eat healthier and how I prepare our meals is a huge part of that! I had heard a lot about air fryers from friends and multiple Facebook videos, so I wanted to give one a try! My go-to is always Wayfair when checking out goodies for my home! I headed to the website and immediately found an air fryer that fit in perfect with my all- white kitchen! I opted for the Kalorik 3.2 liter air fryer.
And can I just say.. where has this thing been all my life? You can still enjoy your favorite “fried” foods in a much healthier way. One of our favorite dinners is buffalo chicken wings. Tell me that’s not the perfect “date night” food ☺️ So, without telling my Mr., I threw some fresh drumsticks into the air fryer and cooked them for about 22 minutes (cook times are provided on the machine!), and tossed them in our favorite spicy garlic buffalo sauce. I cut up a stalk of fresh celery and served with our favorite chunky blue cheese dressing. I sat, and waited for the response “these taste different”… Not one word! So, then I asked… “how do you like the wings?”. His response, “they don’t taste as heavy, but they’re still crispy!”. Ok folks, this is no joke! The air fryer keeps your food crispy when it should be. Most importantly, it doesn’t dry it out either.
It’s not hard to see why this is on of my new favorite items! It’s perfect for those necessary date night’s in with a healthy twist! I cannot wait to keep this as a staple item in our kitchen. The possibilities are endless! You can bake sweets, cook meats and veggies! Have you ever tried an air fryer? If so, what’s your favorite things to cook in it?

Happy Friday friends! 😊 Not sure what it is, but I’ve been in a funk lately and can’t seem to get myself out of it! I’m having a hard time getting inspired to decorate around my home. The fact that I’m constantly browsing Pinterest and Instagram doesn’t help! I see all these beautiful designs and no real desire to create some of my own. Ugh 😩 Do you ever get this way? I have a few blogger friends that are in the same stump, so I don’t feel SO alone, LOL!

Hello beautiful & happy Friday! Not only is it Friday, but it’s only 10 days away from Christmas! I cannot believe it. If you’re still in need of some Christmas gifts, I’ve shared two wonderful gift guides this week. One for the special lady & man in your life.
This weekend is a special weekend at our house. My 30th birthday is tomorrow. Yes, 30! I’m looking forward to see what the 30’s have to offer me! My 20’s was full of growth, change, joy, sorrow & life lessons. I am simply blessed to be where I am today! With that said, we will be celebrating at my one of my favorite restaurants, Brio, with family tomorrow afternoon, followed by our close friends annual Christmas party and another Christmas party Sunday! Busy weekend, but full of Christmas cheer!
