Happy Friday friends 🙌🏼 This weekend we are celebrating my Mr.’s eldest daughter’s birthday! That will include a little party and the local bowling alley. We don’t go bowling often, but when we do I always lose. Anyone else with me? I think my kids get a higher score than me. Sad, I know!

Happy Friday friends! 😊 Not sure what it is, but I’ve been in a funk lately and can’t seem to get myself out of it! I’m having a hard time getting inspired to decorate around my home. The fact that I’m constantly browsing Pinterest and Instagram doesn’t help! I see all these beautiful designs and no real desire to create some of my own. Ugh 😩 Do you ever get this way? Hello beautiful & happy Friday! Not only is it Friday, but it’s only 10 days away from Christmas! I cannot believe it. If you’re still in need of some Christmas gifts, I’ve shared two wonderful gift guides this week. One for the special lady & man in your life.
This weekend is a special weekend at our house. My 30th birthday is tomorrow. Yes, 30! I’m looking forward to see what the 30’s have to offer me! My 20’s was full of growth, change, joy, sorrow & life lessons. I am simply blessed to be where I am today! With that said, we will be celebrating at my one of my favorite restaurants, Brio, with family tomorrow afternoon, followed by our close friends annual Christmas party and another Christmas party Sunday! Busy weekend, but full of Christmas cheer!

Last week, I shared my Christmas tree design with you all, and today I’m sharing my farmhouse CHIC mantel design! As I mentioned in last weeks post, my main source of inspiration was the beautiful mercury glass Christmas trees I purchased from Marhshalls. I am absolutely obsessed with them!

Friday comes around and it’s like a sigh of relief! A sigh of relief that there’s a little rest coming. A little relaxation, and a little time to do what we love. I don’t completely have a free weekend… We are a vendor at the Yellow Door Barn Sale taking place at the Plain City Auction House! I’m looking forward to meeting some new people, sharing my passion and getting some gifts crossed off Christmas lists! What do you have planned for the weekend?
Happy Friday beautiful friends!! If you’ve been keeping up with me via Instagram, you will know that my honey surprised with me an early birthday trip to Texas! We are on our way home today. We fit a lot of fun into our quick-trip! Flying into Dallas, an afternoon at Mangolia in Waco and then back to Dallas for a NFL Dallas Cowboys football game 🙂 Eek! We both crossed a couple things off of our bucket list! Now, we’re looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home with our babies.

Decorating for Christmas is one of my absolutely most favorite things EVER! I know this may sound crazy to some of you, but it’s something I think about multiple times throughout the year. Anytime I see a design that really inspires me, I kind of keep it in my mind for my upcoming Christmas decor. Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you my champagne, glitter farmhouse chic Christmas tree 2017!
It’s just inevitable, Christmas and glitter go hand-in-hand in our home! The tree, the garland, ornaments, presents.. it’s all got a little bit of glitter going on. Not only is it beautiful to look at during the day, but the way it glistens when the Christmas lights hit it at night is just mesmerizing! My color choices this year were apart of a more feminine edge, champagnes, blushes, silvers, golds. I didn’t go all out and purchase a bunch of new ornaments or anything. I still incorporated our traditional favorites into it, which makes this tree my favorite of all time!
Have you ever heard that joke that someone has O.P.D (ornament placement disorder)? Well, unfortunately that’s typically me every year. I would spend hours making sure the tree was as perfect as could be, each ornament meticulously placed. But, NOT this year! I let my babies jump right in and decorate the tree at their will. Granted, I let them decorate mostly the back, but I didn’t mind when they added a few sentimental ornaments to the front. It made it that much more special!
