Winter Chic Christmas

December 4, 2020 by Fotini Filed Under: 14 meals, 16, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 25 Days of Christmas, 27 West & Co., 4th of July, Christmas, home decor

Hey friend! I’m happy to have you here today! I’m sharing my 2020 Winter chic Christmas design with you! Grab a cup of hot cocoa, snuggle up & come get cozy with me!

It’s no surprise to you, that 2020 has been quite a year. I hope that despite all the change & chaos, you are able to enjoy the Holiday season. You may know that I shared my Thanksgiving Tree at the beginning of November, so sure enough I began to get the itch to decorate for Christmas about a week before Thanksgiving.

I wasn’t quite sure what look I was going for this year, but I knew I wanted it to be glittery, pink & chic! Like most of my past designs, I tend to use the same stems, fillers, ornaments & ribbon. That being the case, most of designs are similar. I’m ok with that because they’re still each different & unique.

  • Champagne, Glitter Farmhouse Chic Christmas Tree 2017

My best advice is grab LOTS of fillers! I tend to use less ornaments & more stems & fillers to make the tree appear full. Always work in a pattern. Start at the top & bottom & fill in between with your ornaments first. I bunch my fillers into piles on the floor. Next, start adding them in a pattern throughout the tree. I like to keep them hanging out, drooping, etc. It gives the tree so much more character that way! Finish by adding your spiraled ribbon in a pattern as well. I uses three different ribbons.

I have shared in the past how I incorporate the ribbons throughout my tree, but would you be interested in me sharing it again? It seems to be a pretty frequent question. And you won’t believe how simple it really is!

I have two cats & they have both enjoyed the warm fires daily & glow of the Christmas tree during the day. However, my gray tabby, Rocky, has began climbing the tree again. He’s so ornery! I’m just glad I was able to snag some pics before he wrecked it completely! The kitty pictured above is Tinsel. She’s the biggest sweetie & my shadow!

I so appreciate you stopping by here & hanging out with me for a bit! I’ll be sharing more soon, so I hope that you will come back! Have a wonderful day!

Guys! You may or may have not heard… this week I launched my very own boutique!! Since I can remember, I have always wanted a store. For about a year I had a little barn, which was my little happy place, but things didn’t work out. Recently, I decided to take the plunge & brand off of my already known, Farmhouse Chic. My little online boutique is called Farmhouse Chic Boutique ✨

It’s my little slice of happiness where I get to share items I, myself love & wear! If you would like to check it out, click or if you would like to join my facebook group page where you get exclusive info & pre sale items, click !

I’m going outside of my normal, neutral style. I want my office space to be chic & fun! My inspiration will be coming from light pinks, leopards, golds, along with neutrals of course!

As always, my favorite way of bringing my vision to life is a mood board. So follow along with me as I share what my inspiration for my updated office design will be.

Master bedroom Refresh

July 28, 2020 by Fotini Filed Under: 14 meals, 16, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 25 Days of Christmas, 27 West & Co., 4th of July, home decor

Inspiration comes in many different ways, shapes & sizes. I find myself getting inspired by specific objects alone! My girlfriends & I were actually just talking about that this past weekend. Are you one that tends to get inspired by one specific thing, such as a pillow, piece of furniture, rug, etc. Or does finding inspiration come in other ways for you?

Lately, I have been wanting to give my master bedroom a little refresh! I don’t have a big budget to spend on this project, so I wanted to keep it simple & affordable, using most of my existing large items. It’s amazing how much you can change up the look of a room by adding new bedding, rugs & accessories!

I have created this little mood board, because lets be honest, I’m LOVING those right now! It’s the best way for me to take my vision & bring it to life! Best part about it, is these items are AFFORDABLE!

As part of my master bedroom refresh, I also plan to paint. I haven’t completely came to a decision on paint colors yet, so your input is well appreciated!

Gallery wall update

July 23, 2020 by Fotini Filed Under: 14 meals, 16, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 25 Days of Christmas, 27 West & Co., 4th of July, home decor

I have had my current gallery wall since we moved in our house over 8 years ago! I love it because it displays some of my very favorite pictures of the kids through the years, but I think it’s time for an update!

My living room is a very open and airy space that opens up to my formal dining room and kitchen. The theme throughout each is, you guessed it, neutral tones! With that being said, I want to continue that neutral theme by adding white frames.

I’ve created this super simple mood board as my inspiration for the project! If you follow me on Instagram you may have participated in the poll asking for your all’s input on the “gallery wall” matter! I initially was torn between either doing the white frames or wrapped canvas. The results were 59% of you voted white frames and 41% voted wrapped canvas.

I feel the white frames will likely be the look I’m going for. I have looked up frame after frame and finally came to a conclusion on what I’ll be using! I can’t wait to share that with you! I know, I know… I’m leaving you hanging for now! But I will be sharing soon! Step 1 of the gallery wall update is getting new pictures taken of the kiddos. I think I’m going to opt for either black and white, or a muted filter for the pictures. Step 2 is painting my living room!

Spring Mantel Design

If you’re anything like me, you’re much anticipating Spring! Last week I shared some faux houseplant inspiration and mentioned that I would be sharing my live plants this week! Today I’m sharing my Spring mantel design!

Spring Mantel Design

My design inspiration came from the beautiful live plants I snagged while on a shopping trip to Aldi. I wasn’t expecting to come home with plants, yet I came home with three! Even went and bought more little ones later that day! Their bold, whimsical greens made me feel alive! And after a long winter here in Ohio, that was feeling I was absolutely aching for!

A Warm, Cozy Chic Christmas Tree

Hello there & welcome! Decorating my home for Christmas is one of my very favorite things! Creating a warm, cozy chic Christmas tree design was my goal this Christmas, & I feel that I accomplished just that!

I get asked a lot “do you buy all new ornaments each year?”, & the answer is no! I typically do shop after Christmas sales & may pick up some new ornaments for me to use the following Christmas, but I actually use the same ornaments year-to-year. It’s amazing how you can make your tree look different each year, even while using those same ornaments! [Read more…]
