Hello there & welcome! Decorating my home for Christmas is one of my very favorite things! Creating a warm, cozy chic Christmas tree design was my goal this Christmas, & I feel that I accomplished just that!
I get asked a lot “do you buy all new ornaments each year?”, & the answer is no! I typically do shop after Christmas sales & may pick up some new ornaments for me to use the following Christmas, but I actually use the same ornaments year-to-year. It’s amazing how you can make your tree look different each year, even while using those same ornaments!
We do a annual family Christmas ornament, so all of those sentimental ornaments are throughout the tree! I actually joke with anyone who comes over & tell them our tree is “business in the front & party in the back”. ☺️ Why do I say that you ask? Because I decorate the front of the tree as pretty & full as I can get it & the kids always get to decorate the back of the tree! The back of the tree is well-enjoyed from our formal dining room & they can go as crazy as they want with the design!
This warm, cozy Chic Christmas tree dons a variety of mercury glass bulbs, glitter balls, angel wings, keys, glitter deer, glittery stems, greenery filler, pink & champagne accents & so much more!
Creating a full, flowing Christmas tree isn’t as hard as it may seem! I start at the top & work my way down. The best thing to keep in mind is mirroring each side! This is a design tactic I use all the time! Start from top & zig zag your way down the tree. Continue this technique throughout. Once your ornaments have bee placed, go in & add whimsy stems or greenery sporadically.
For a feminine, finished look I go in & add pieces of cut, curled ribbon throughout the entire tree! Take a step back & look at any bare spots or spots that need tweaking. Most importantly, take a look at the gorgeous design you’ve created! The glow of a Christmas tree warms my heart beyond measure!
I want to know… do you do the same design each year? Or are you like me, & switch it up? I would love to hear your traditions! Thank you, thank you for stopping by & checking out our Christmas tree this Christmas! I can’t wait to see you back here! XO.
