Hey you! If you’ve been hanging out with me awhile, you will know that I’ve been dying to paint our kitchen white and do a budget-friendly remodel! Last Christmas I busted out signing to my husband one morning, “I’m dreaming of a white kitchen!”… he lost it! Seriously though! It’s the only part of our house that doesn’t “fit”! And it’s one we spend the most time in! The business we own is seasonal, so we tend to have down time in the Winter, and I’m hoping my husband will agree to get started soon! Today I’m sharing my farmhouse kitchen inspiration board with you all! Even more exciting, I’m sharing some Parrot Uncle hanging lights, if you’re doing your own remodel or just want to update your lighting!
Option 1: I would have two of these beautiful small industrial style pennant lights hanging over my island. I think it would be the perfect bold aspect of the design!
Option 2: Adding a gorgeous crystal chandelier like this 5 light Murano chandelier would add instant french country charm, paired with two simple bell-shaped pennant lights hanging over the island.
Option 3: You may remember me sharing my DIY crystal orb, so I would keep that (which is similar to above) and add some unique Italy retro style pendant lights over the island.
Which one would you pick? I’m still unsure what I really want! Fingers crossed we get started on the remodel soon and I can finalize my lighting options!
As you can see by the inspiration boards, I’m shooting for white cabinets (obviously!), a white subway tile and a marble look for countertops. We still haven’t decided on our countertops either, because we hope to move on some land within the next year or so, so we don’t want to spend a lot on granite, etc. We’re highly considering DIY butcher block! It wouldn’t be a farmhouse kitchen without a gorgeous apron sink and stunning faucet! My furniture will be the french country look with neutral tones and neutral curtains. Just seeing it come together a bit on this inspiration board has me totally excited!!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by today!
