Tell me I’m not the only one that notices the beautiful, or not-so beautiful front porches and landscaping while on a drive or walk through a neighborhood. I’m always looking and admiring the gorgeous flowers! If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know I’m flower obsessed 🙂
I wanted to dress up my front porch and create a fun, vibrant feel! My house has neutral tones (big shock, right!), so I was inspired to add a little color for Spring! I headed to Lowe’s where I was immediately drawn to the Monrovia Plants section. The bright purple salvia and calibrachoa were the first to steal my attention. I loaded up on a colorful mix of yellows, greens, purple and oranges!
Once I made it back home, my trusty shadow, aka, Lola was there to help me plant all these goodies! I cannot wait to share a project we recently finished with you all, but that will come on another day! Here’s a peek in one of the pictures below. I absolutely love the hues this mix of flowers gives off! I have so much fun creating gardens with unexpected blends of annuals and perennials. What are some of you favorites to plant?
If you’re new to planting or unsure what flowers to choose. My rule of thumb is to pick what you’re drawn to first! Whether you have a go-to favorite or something you’ve been wanting to add to your landscaping, go for it! You will get all the info you need on the little information cards included with each plant. Read them! They tell you everything you need to know!
Be sure to purchase a good potting soil if you’re planting in containers and water on a regular basis and you will enjoy your beautiful, vibrant blooms all season long! To say looking forward to watching my plants grow, is an understatement! Planting a garden is so rewarding to me! I hope you enjoy your flowers as much as I will 🙂
Thanks for stopping by friend and keep your eyes peeled for the exciting project spotted in this post soon!
