In March of this year {2012} my husband and I purchased our first home! The home we purchased was a HUD. I know, this may scare some (and believe me we saw some pretty bad houses), but this one had so much potential!!

We got a HUD house 6 years ago. A fixer-uppper for sure, but not as bad as some we had seen either. It’s definitely a challenge, but it is nice to make it your own. Good luck!
