{ My First Furniture Rehab!! }
Last Summer my husband cleared out a storage unit of his Fathers and he told me I could go through and pick stuff I wanted to keep, if anything. I had been dying to get my hands on a piece of furniture I could rehab! A dresser caught my eye… This dresser has been a part of my husbands family for many years, so I was thrilled to “bring it back to life”! I knew it would be perfect to rehab and add to Isabellas’ room! It was in pretty rough shape, so I started by sanding some of the rough scrapes and bumps and filling large grooves with wood filler.

I had so much fun sharing bits and pieces of Isabella’s second birthday party with you guys and now it’s time to share it entirely! We had a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends!
The color scheme was turquoise, pinks and neutral tones and the theme was shabby chic. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a party look great and well- thought out. I get a lot of my stuff from Michaels dollar bins, dollar stores, Target dollar corner, etc. Once you’ve chosen your theme and colors, you’d be surprised how great things start coming together π

Part of the excitement for me when planning my little ones birthday parties, is picking a fun, customized outfit for their special day! This year to go hand-in-hand with Isabellas vintage chic rag banner (here) I created an adorable tutu using the same technique!
My husband got me this nifty tool to easily created snaps and buttons! I (he) decided to give it a try and it worked out perfect for this project. It’s easily hidden by simply sliding a piece of fabric directly over it!
