Hello beautiful! I hope you’re doing wonderful today! Even though the weather is cold, I’m embracing the sunshine! And I hope that you’re doing the same! With a new year, comes new things. New experiences, goals, dreams, ideas and so much more! Whether you’re one to jump on the resolution board, or not, I wanted to share a simple way for a fresh start with you today!

I absolutely cannot believe I’m rounding up my popular posts of 2016! This year has seemed to fly by, do you agree? I was very scared for what 2016 had in store for me. As many of you may know, I shared at the end of last year (2015) that my husband and I separated. It came as a shock to me and I wasn’t prepared for what to expect. As time went on, things began to fall into place. The kids and I began to create our own happy life and I began to learn to rely on myself more than anyone else. I would be lying if I said it was all rainbows and flowers. There were a lot of ups and downs, but the good outweighed the bad. My faith in the Lord is what has brought me to where I am today! I know I wouldn’t be where I am without it! I’m eager to put 2016 behind me and see what amazing things are in store for 2017!!

One thing I look forward to the most during the Holidays, but also anytime throughout the year, is family movie night! I think it’s a necessity for families to dedicate a few hours or even a full day just for each other! It’s simple little things, just like have a family movie night that you and your children will cherish for a lifetime!

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that it’s Christmas time! But, I am so, so excited that it is! It is truly one of the most magical times of the year!

Make your area rug cozy again!
Let me ask you a question.. Do you have an area rug in your home? For many of us, the answer will be “yes!”. In our home we have hardwood floors throughout the entire house, absolutely no carpet! I love it, really I do! But, I also love adding area rugs to pull together my designs and cozy up the room! However, for the last 4 years, we have dealt with an area rug that shifts because the floor is a slick surface, and it’s enough to drive anyone nuts! I even use those basic cut-to-size rug pads, but they don’t do the job.
Not to mention, those rug pads end up curling up underneath the rug and create bumps in the area rug, yuck! As you can tell, I’m totally not a fan… After those experiences, I was ready to give up on area rugs in my home. Then, I came across a rug pad that would change the game entirely!

Hello beautiful! I hope you’re doing wonderful today! Things have been hectic around our house, which seems to be the norm lately! I’ve been having a harder time than usual adjusting to blog deadlines, decorating and balancing my home. It’s gotten a little overwhelming at times, and I’m trying to figure it all out! On top of that, I’ve been suffering terribly with my allergies, which physically makes me feel drained. BUT, on a positive note, I’m still here! Still kickin’ and still sharing my passion with you all!

Thankful beyond measure
Hello lovely! How are you today? I’m hoping this post finds you well! I’m in full swing of preparing for the Holidays! Getting lists ready, the house decorated and Thanksgiving dinner planned out! In the midst of all the chaos, one thing I’m not forgetting about, is being thankful beyond measure! We tend to get so caught up in the daily routines that we forget to sit back and realize just how incredibly blessed we are!
