Hello friends and welcome! I just really can’t believe that Christmas is this week, eek!! I feel like a little kid myself, when it comes to the week of Christmas! There’s so much I look forward to! On Christmas Eve my mom and I will be hosting Christmas Eve dinner at my house, followed by our Church service. The next day we wake up, open Christmas presents with the kids and get ready to attend brunch at my aunt’s house! That evening we will celebrate with my in-laws! It will be a busy two days, but it is SO much fun and I can’t wait!!
I hope that you are just as excited to celebrate with your friends and family! This time of the year is so magical <3 Today I have the pleasure of sharing with your our simple, welcoming Winter porch! I didn’t go all out this year, and I’m ok with that! It’s simple and pretty just the way it is!
This season, as you know, I’ve opted for a white, neutral theme. It’s no surprise, that I’ve continue the same design onto my front porch! After all, it sets the mood before guests even walk into my home! Early in my decorating, I found beautiful, fresh greenery and wreaths at places like Menards and Trader Joes. The large fresh wreath is from Mendards and cost about $17 and the small was from trader joes for about $5. My dad had given us this beautiful, vintage sled that he had in one of his barns and I couldn’t wait to add it to our front porch! I love how it looks just resting there with the fresh wreath hanging from it. I added a bucket of pinecones (which my husband was thrilled about, because they’ve been sitting in the garage for months!). My generous father-in-law bought us this beautiful white poinsettia at Thanksgiving and it looked perfect gleaming on the porch. I had to add some fake snow, because the weather here in Ohio is a bit confused. We’re not sure whether it’s Winter or Spring! The temps will be in the mid 50’s for Christmas this week.
I also wrapped a few empty boxes and embellished them with fresh greenery, pinecones and fake snow. My design is simple, but I think it creates an inviting display to welcome guests into our cozy home for Christmas!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous Christmas and Happy New Year!!
