I’ll tell you what, we couldn’t be more excited that Spring is officially on it’s way, here at our house! The kids are on Spring Break this week and we’ll soon be headed to the beach!
To be honest, the last few years we have done absolutely nothing while the kids were off school, so this year I wanted to treat them to a little adventure! Starting off, with a fun Spring break breakfast! They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day for a reason! Not to mention, it sets the for the entire day ☺️
Isabella’s request was for Eggo waffles! They are warm, fluffy and delicious! The fact that they toast up to a delicious golden crisp in just minutes is a win in my book! Have you ever tried making waffles homemade? 🤦🏻♀️ Not as easy as you’d think! Thank goodness all I had to do was stop by the freezer section in Walmart and pick up a box. Lazy? I say genius!
While at the store, I also grabbed a can of original Reddi-wip and sprinkles. Reddi-wip is a normal staple in our fridge, because lets be honest, adding whipped cream makes anything taste better! Reddi-wip uses the best dairy cream in original flavors and less hydrogenated oils than other frozen whipped toppings. Isabella tries to sneak in sprinkles any time she can.
My idea for this fun breakfast idea was simple… Waffles, Reddi-wip and sprinkles. Then it dawned on me, I really wanted to make Isabella’s breakfast special. One of her absolute favorite shows right now is Spirit Riding Free on Netflix. My goal was to add “spirit” into this breakfast by using shape cutouts for the waffles! Fun-shaped Eggo waffles, topped with Reddi-wip and sprinkles DEFINITELY landed me the coolest mom award! 🙌🏼
If your little girl is a big fan of the Spirit Riding Free series on Netflix, visit link to print out some really fun activities for her! I surprised Isabella by printing off some coloring sheets of her favorite characters for her to color while she enjoyed breakfast! Isabella relates with the main character, Lucky from the Netflix series, “Spirit Riding Free” as she always has a positive attitude and desire for creativity!
I think it’s safe to say we started off Spring Break on the right foot here at our house!
