This time last year my grandparents from Greece were here visiting us for the month! It was the first time in many years that we would be celebrating Thanksgiving together, and also our first Thanksgiving in our new home! I wanted to come up with something that I could keep as a keepsake for the special Holiday we were celebrating together!
It’s really quite simple, I bought blank gift tags from Michaels, wrote each persons name on them and used them as their place settings. I asked each person before dinner to write what they were thankful for! When it came time to put the Fall decor away, I packed those little memoirs away with it.
When I pulled out the Fall decor this season, it was so fun reading them and very special to “feel” the presence of my grandparents from Greece here with me even though they are thousands of miles away this year. I added the tags to part of my decor by simply adding them to the ends of branches, and creating a “tree”. This is a beautiful, memorable tree that I look forward to growing each year!
This is really good. Thank you for sharing this.
